  • To help you adjust to the study and campus life as well as better understand the community of Hong Kong, a series of orientation activities including buddies encounter and introduction of learning resources will be held for you to know new friends and study partners.
  • During your first year of study, SAO will organize different kinds of activities for non-local students to foster your personal development, provide mutual support, as well as facilitate cultural exchange and student integration among all students. Particularly, online Cantonese classes will be conducted for you to learn basic local dialect and culture in Autumn Term.

To equip you with skills and confidence to achieve your academic goals, our First-year Learning Enhancement Series provide learning & training workshops to prepare you to become an effective and independent learners. Workshops to be offered are as follows:

  • Effective Time Management and Enhancing Concentration
  • Practical Study Skills
  • Improving Memory and Information Processing with Mind-mapping
  • Relaxation Skills
